We are a lifestyle Chinese Media Company based in London. Our Company mission is to help Chinese expats to live a better life in the UK. 

We are seeking a motivated Social Media Content Editor to be part of the busy Social Media Team. 

This is a part-time role starting immediately, 20 hours a week between Monday to Friday. Working hours will be 4 hours a day between the company core hours 10am to 4pm. 

For this position, you will be working from home until the end of August. From September you will be working in our London office 3 times a week and 2 days from home. 

Following out selection process, if successful, you will be invited to complete our written assessment. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Write and publish digital content (text, graphic, audio, video) for the company\'s social media accounts, ensuring all content and images adhere to the company’s content standards and brand guidelines
• Cover live events and breaking news on social media
• Be responsible for content planning, editing, social media product updating and regular maintenance, check content styles, grammar, accuracy, and legality of content and arrange for any necessary amendments
• Determine social media trends and new content ideas to be covered by reviewing performance data, monitor and research user comments, competitor activities and attending reviews and events
• Take part in team content planning and scheduling, collaborate with other social media and content teams and departments, ensure that assigned works are completed on time
• Work with Social Media Senior Content Editor to select suitable content to be distributed on social media channels and during campaigns
• Communicate with internal teams and clients to discuss content briefs and submit previews for approval
• Build and grow strong online communities through interacting with social media users and answering user questions, provide user feedback to Social Media Executive on regular basis
• Contribute creative content ideas for social media and marketing communication campaigns
• Assign work to writers and review their work for accuracy, content style, grammar, and legality

• Provide necessary ad hoc and cover support to other social media editors and management team

Requirements:

• 1 year+ minimum relevant social media content creation and editing experience 
• Able to edit and write copy accurately and clearly, understanding how to tailor content to suit different audiences
• Experienced user of content layout designing tools and video editing tools
• Knowledge and curious about the UK way of life and culture
• Have a deep understanding of the needs of our target audience
• Demonstrated ability to create fresh and engaging content
• Attention to detail; previous experience of proofreading someone else’ work is desirable
• Have strong visual and creative eyes, passionate about photography and layout is desirable
• Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills in both, Mandarin Chinese and English
• Proficient working knowledge of written English and adequate level of conversational English required 
• Strong knowledge of Chinese social media and how to spot trends 
• Very good team player who values the importance of teamwork and effort
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work flexibly and occasionally evenings and weekends due to the nature of the position that involves covering breaking news and live events
